LA students experience China at festival celebration

Nearly 100 young Americans gathered to celebrate the Lantern Festival through an event titled "Experiencing China", immersing themselves in Chinese culture through activities like calligraphy, crafting lanterns and savoring traditional rice balls, which symbolizes togetherness and reunion. "Learning about Chinese culture has been an incredible experience for me," McCarthy told China Daily. "It was a little difficult since it's my first time using a Chinese brush, but I'm proud I completed it," he said, showing his handwriting to China Daily.
