Set against the backdrop of the opioid epidemic, Crisis stars Hammer as an agent named Jake Kelly, who tracks down the drug trafficker who arranged a fentanyl smuggling operation between Canada and America. The trailer for Crisis was also released on Thursday, marking the first new film footage to be released of Hammer since his recent social media scandal. Hammer stepped away from his role opposite Jennifer Lopez in the forthcoming feature Shotgun Wedding after alleged direct messages surfaced that alluded to inappropriate conduct on his part.
