Barcelona president Josep Bartomeu ADMITS signing Martin Braithwaite is unfair on Leganes
Daily MailBarcelona president Josep Bartomeu has openly admitted his side should not have been able to sign Martin Braithwaite while the transfer window is closed. The Spanish champions signed Braithwaite from Leganes on Thursday by taking advantage of a bizarre LaLiga transfer ruling which allows clubs to replace a player if they have long-term injuries. Barcelona were allowed to sign a replacement for injured duo Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele from a fellow LaLiga side but second-from-bottom Leganes cannot reinforce their strike options.
