Garbage problem at Madhuranagar
Vijayawada: Madhuranagar has become a mini dump yard in recent times. The sanitation workers of the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation are dumping the garbage collected from the colony in the vacant land in first lane of Pasuputhota near the water tank. The locals have even protested when Member of Legislative Council Buddha Venkanna visited the colony as part of the ongoing Janmabhoomi. “Garbage collection is the major problem in our colony from the beginning,” said another local K. Krishna Kanth Sarma. Even those who park their vehicles inside also complained about the problem and the locals are asking for increased patrolling in their area.
