Convicted child killer Pitchfork is seen walking in a local park near young families after his release in 2021 Lynda Mann who was raped and murdered by Pitchfork in 1983 when she was just 15 During the December hearing the Parole Board was told that prior to Pitchfork's arrest in 1987 he held 'deviant fantasies', felt entitled to sex where and when he wanted, and enjoyed sexual violence against women. In a statement released today the Parole Board said: 'The decision refusing Mr Pitchfork's release was eligible for reconsideration under the Parole Board Rules. A Government source said: 'It is deeply concerning that having made one flawed decision, the Parole Board have made another, causing immense distress to the families of Lynda Mann and Dawn Ashworth.
