Amala Akkineni, Ranjani and other WCC members reveal why they don't trust AMMA

Ever since the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists decided to take back Dileep, they have been receiving brickbats from the fellow members and the general public. Now, Amala Akkineni, Ranjani Pierre, Sajitha Madambil and Kani Kusruti among 15 other WCC members, in a statement, revealed that they cannot trust AMMA, due to the way it dealt with the Dileep-Malayalam actress abduction case. The attitude of the organisation towards women was clearly portrayed in the retrogressive skit which was presented in the recent celebration of AMMA, and in their move to take back an actor accused in a case of sexual violence. Others who wrote the statement are Abhija Sivakala, Archana Padmini, Darsana Rajendran, Divya Gopinath, Divya Prabha, Jolly Chirayath, Samyuktha Nambiar, Santy Balachandran, Shylaja Ambi and Sujatha Jannnethri.
