
No fly zone declared for Amit Shah’s visit near Arakkonam
The HinduThe Superintendent of Police, Vivekananda Shukla, on Tuesday, declared that the district will be a no fly zone on March 6 to 7 due to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Recruits Training Centre of the Central Industrial Security Force at Thakkolam near Arakkonam town on March 7. Police said Mr. Shah will participate in the renaming ceremony of the centre into Rajaditya Cholan in memory of the Chola prince, who died in a battle there centuries ago. Accordingly, all individuals and civil agencies are prohibited from flying any non-conventional aerial objects in the district without any prior permission on the said days. It has been informed that approval for utilisation of drones by any operator or civil/government agency is governed by guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
