PM Modi stresses on integrated response to disasters

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday underlined the need for an integrated response to disasters, saying disaster in one region can have a big impact on a completely different region in a closely connected world. The conference has become an important platform for advanced and developing economies, large and small countries, and the global north and global south to come together on one platform, Modi said. According to a CDRI statement, in her address Prime Minister Hasina said, "Since origins of climate change are global, the solution and management would also have to be global. The two-day interactive international conference will see a gathering of over 90 global experts from more than 20 countries representing 50 global organisations, the private sector, and academia, the CDRI said.
