UGC-NET 2024: Why did Education Ministry cancel the exam? Explained

The Ministry of Education cancelled the CUET NET exam, a day after it was conducted. The education ministry has decided to cancel the exam due to concerns over its integrity, based on certain inputs on the exam from the National Cyber Crime Threat Analytics Unit of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre, which is under the Ministry of Home Affairs. The education ministry assured that it would investigate the alleged irregularities in the NEET UG 2024 exam. UGC NET 2024 exam new dates soon The National Eligibility Test was conducted on June 18 in offline mode, using pen and paper format mode, wherein, approximately 81 per cent of candidates appeared for the exam conducted in 317 cities across the country. The National Testing Agency conducts UGC NET to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for ‘Assistant Professor’ as well as ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ in Indian Universities and Colleges.
