Zaka Ashraf Likely To Return As PCB Chief After Najam Sethi Withdraws From Race

Zaka Ashraf is expected to make a comeback as the head of the Pakistan Cricket Board after Najam Sethi opted not to contest anymore for the position. Notably, Ashraf led the governing body from 2011-13 and the country’s Prime Minister also declared his name as the next chief of PCB, he will now be marking his return. “The Prime Minister, in his capacity as Patron of the Pakistan Cricket Board and in accordance with Article 10 of the PCB's constitution 2014, is pleased to nominate the following individuals for appointment as Members of the Board of Governors of PCB,” the official communication as quoted by Cricbuzz. The election is likely to take place at the end of June and Pakistan People's Party led by Asif Ali Zardari Bhutto made it evident that there will be a change in the leadership as former chairman Najam Sethi comes from the rival group called Pakistan Muslim League.
