Hidden doors always pique curiosity. “A lot of the dishes on the menu require time to prepare — the curry puff takes two days. The laboriously prepared karokke chicken wings with whey and fish sauce caramel fall short, perhaps due to an overstimulated palate, but the Malaysian-inspired Japanese curry puff with edamame, potato, reduced curry, and nori dust is a winner. The seafood variant features saucy garlic prawns, while the vegetarian option includes seasonal Japanese vegetables like edamame, baby corn, and nori chips.
