Telangana Yet To Appoint Full-Time VCs

HYDERABAD: The Telangana government is yet to appoint full-time vice-chancellors in state universities. On May 22, the government appointed in-charge VCs in 12 universities, who were asked to continue until June 15. Reddy, Prof. Prathap Reddy, Prof. Pandu Ranga Reddy, and Prof. M. Kumar, who belongs to the SC category. These issues are the regularisation of around 700 contract assistant professors, the filling of 1,500 vacant posts of assistant professors, and the enhancement of the retirement age from 60 to 65 years according to UGC guidelines.
