Priyanka Gandhi raises human-animal conflict compensation issue in Lok Sabha

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, on Monday, brought up in Lok Sabha the issue of compensation in cases of man-animal conflict. The newly elected Wayanad MP, while asking a supplementary question during Question Hour, pointed out to the congregation that a person died and another was severely injured in an elephant attack in her constituency. On Saturday, a female engineering student died near Kothamangalam and another person sustained severe injuries after a palm tree, uprooted by an elephant, fell on their motorcycle. In recent times, man-animal conflict, especially elephant attacks have been rising in Wayanad region.
