IIT Gandhinagar to give a taste of social service, nature awareness, self-defense to fresh batch of BTech
India TodayThe Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar is all set to welcome the new batch of BTech students with its flagship 5-week Foundation Program, that will commence from July 22, 2019. Series of activities: During the first five weeks after joining the institute, students participate in a series of activities designed around 5 major themes: Values and ethics Creativity Teamwork Social awareness Physical fitness This year, there are exciting programmes lined up; which includes a session by Self-Employed Women's Association, one of the prominent NGOs run by women, mostly rural women. Giving more information about the uniqueness of IITGN Foundation Program, Prof Ambika Aiyadurai, one of the coordinators of the program, said, "IITGN FP's stand out distinctly when compared with other induction programmes in many ways. "The FP will promote all-round development of students and equip them with valuable skills for the future", said Prof Himanshu Shekhar, one of the coordinators of FP 2019.
