Critically ill surfing great Mark Richardson has been medically evacuated from an Indonesian hospital to Darwin after efforts to transport donations of the rare A negative blood type proved unsuccessful. Friend Fiona Meyer, who was with Richardson in Bali, said 10 bags of the required blood type collected through the Red Cross in Australia had been declined by the hospital in Denpasar.
