Advocates' Enrolment Will Be Done As Soon As Verification Of Applications Is Complete: Says Madhya Pradesh Bar Council, HC Seeks Instructions

The Jabalpur bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court on Tuesday orally questioned the State Bar Council for "unnecessary delay" in enrolment of lawyers since the last four months. During the hearing the court asked the State Bar Council to "take instructions" in the matter and inform the court regarding the same on Wednesday as to whether the enrolments are being processed. During the hearing on Tuesday, the counsel for petitioner emphasizing on the urgency of the matter and said, “The last date notice was issued to the state bar council. Replying to the above contention, the counsel for the respondents/State Bar Council said, “The enrolment process is going on” and asked for two-week time to file a reply.
