Chandhirakumar sworn-in as Erode (East) MLA
Chandhirakumar was, on Monday sworn-in as the Member of the Legislative Assembly elected from Erode Assembly constituency. Assembly Speaker M. Appavu administered the oath in his chamber, in the presence of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Speaking to reporters, Mr. Chandhirakumar, while replying to a query, said: “I believe in the principles of Periyar but at the same time, I’m not without religious belief.” He said he dedicated his victory to the CM and the Deputy CM and thanked the electorate in Erode for his victory. Velu and S. Muthusamy, Deputy Speaker K. Pitchandi, government chief whip K. Ramachandran, MDMK founder Vaiko, VCK founder Thol. Thirumavalavan, Congress legislative party leader K. Selvaperunthagai, CPI State secretary P. Shanmugam, CPI State secretary R. Mutharasan, were among others present.
