The Game of Thrones actor has been touted to replace Daniel Craig as 007 since playing the lead in 2015 spy caper Spooks: The Greater Good, but when asked by Digital Spy whether he’d consider the iconic role, his answer was a flat-out “not really, no”. Harington said only last year that he did not consider his career established enough to play Bond, despite his turn as MI5 agent Will Holloway seeing him tackle an impressive array of stunts from smashing through a restaurant window and scaling high buildings Spider-Man-style to wrestling terrorists on rooftops. It remains unknown whether Craig will return for another Bond movie, but after saying that he would “rather slash his wrists” than return during a post-Spectre interview, pundits are presuming it unlikely.
