Woman Dies After Alleged Domestic Violence in Maheshwaram

Hyderabad: A woman died in a hospital while undergoing treatment after she was allegedly being beaten by her husband at her residence within the Maheshwaram police station limits on Thursday. “I lodged a complaint with the Maheshwaram police five times before about her husband’s violence, but I received no response from them. A couple of days after the FIR was finally registered, my sister succumbed to injuries,” Ramesh, the deceased’s brother, told Deccan Chronicle. On Thursday morning, when Santosha again complained of unbearable pain, she was shifted to Maheshwaram Government Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries at 7 am.
