That is, until Friday, when the NFL announced it was suspending four Lions players and Commanders defensive end Shaka Toney for violating the league’s policy on sports betting. Four Lions team employees were also fired last month for violating the NFL’s gambling policy, according to a league source briefed on the situation who is not allowed to speak publicly on it.
