CRPF Jawan Shoots Dead Four Colleagues, Injures Several Others in Sukma Camp
News 18In a shocking incident of fratricide, a CRPF soldier opened fire on his colleagues killing four and injuring at least 4 others in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma region. The incident of fratricide took place at about 03:25 am on Monday, where Constable Reetesh Ranjan of C-Company 50 Battalion Lingalapalli under PS Maraiguda, Sukma opened fired on his company personnel in which seven personnel were injured and immediately rushed to Bhadrachalam Area Hospital for first aid. Prima facie it seems that due to some emotional stress leading to sudden psychological disbalance, Reetesh Ranjan lost his control and in a fit of rage opened fire on his colleagues. The injured have been identified as jawan Dhananjay KR Singh, Constable Dharmendra KR, Constable Dharmatma Kumar and Constable Malaya Ranjan Maharana.
