Forgery complaint against 'Vishwaroopam' producers
The HinduThe Tamil Nadu Film Exhibitors Association has filed a petition before the Madras High Court for a direction to the Chennai Police to act on a complaint regarding an alleged forged document. The association said Raaj Kamal Film International, which produced the Kamal Haasan-starrer ‘Vishwaroopam’ had preferred a complaint with the Competition Commission of India. Claiming that the association had never passed any such resolution, it wondered how Raaj Kamal could make such a complaint before the Commission when its partner, Kamal Haasan, had thanked the organisation for its unstinted support for the film. Based on Raaj Kamal’s complaint, the Competition Commission ordered an investigation by its Director-General, who issued notice to the petitioner association.
