UP govt school teachers asked to work from home till May 20 amid Covid-19 surge
India TodayThe government of Uttar Pradesh has allowed the teachers of government schools across the state to work from home amid the current surge of Covid-19 cases. On his Twitter handle, the basic education minister said, “In view of the current circumstances of covid-19 all teachers and structures and teachers of Kasturba Gandhi girls school will be allowed to work from home by 20 May 2021.” Earlier, the government of Uttar Pradesh had given an order to shut down the educational institutes in the state till April 30 due to the rise in Covid-19 cases across the state. Uttar Pradesh schools, colleges closed The government of Uttar Pradesh has instructed all the schools and colleges in the state to remain closed till May 15 in view of the rapid spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. Education Minister of UP Dinesh Sharma earlier tweeted that "In view of the coronavirus spread Secondary Education Board proposed exam from May 8 have been postponed till May 20 and University colleges Exams have been postponed till May 15 a decision on exams will be taken in the first week of May."
