Ravi Shastri's message for Indian batsmen: Be prepared to look ugly and show grit

Under-fire India coach Ravi Shastri came out and tried to say all the right things as his men geared up to prepare for the third Test against England at Trent Bridge from August 18. Head Coach @RaviShastriOfc expressed his condolences after the sad demise of former India captain Ajit Wadekar pic.twitter.com/RT60PfUNgG BCCI August 16, 2018 Shastri said the Indian team did not have any negative bones and stressed the players needed to now show some mental discipline if it wanted to bounce back at Trent Bridge. He conceded conditions have been tough in England - in fact, after destroying the Indian batting line-up at Lord's, James Anderson had said even England's batsmen would have struggled in those conditions. Ravi Shastri, like Kohli, also conceded the team had made a blunder by including an extra spinner for the Lord's Test where conditions favoured seam bowling.
