Schools in Assam to be used as vaccination centres for 15-18 year olds
India TodayAssam is gearing up for the special Covid-19 vaccination drive for the 15 to 18 age group and the government and private schools in the state will be turned into vaccination centres. The state government on Thursday issued an order to ensure that vaccination of all students between the age group of 15-18 years is done in a smooth manner. The government order also stated that, the Additional Deputy Commissioners of the respective districts would supervise the conduct of the vaccination drive in a flawless manner in co-ordination with the inspector of schools of their respective districts. On the other hand, Assam Health Minister Keshab Mahanta said that the vaccination drive for the age group of 15-18 years will commence in the educational institutions of the state from January 3.
