New Zealand's level four coronavirus lockdown has been strict. Here are some of the differences with Australia
ABCNew Zealanders have been living under some pretty tough lockdown restrictions for almost a month. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says New Zealand has done what few countries could do and stopped a "wave of devastation", with total confirmed and probable cases in New Zealand at 1,440, and 12 deaths. In New Zealand, the list of businesses that could physically stay open has been very limited — so that meant no quick stops at Kmart or popping to Bunnings for the general public. Bunnings in Australia is still open to the public with strict social distancing, but in New Zealand, stores were closed except for trade customers. And while delivery services are still rolling out hot food takeaways to Australians, getting a takeaway curry, coffee or burger has been banned in New Zealand.
