Jagan prioritises construction of houses in Amaravati R5 zone

Vijayawada: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy instructed officials to give priority to the construction of houses for the poor after distribution of house sites in Amaravati and to complete 8.64 lakh houses under the flagship Pedalandariki Illu-Navaratnalu programme. Jagan Mohan Reddy directed the officials to prepare an action plan for construction of houses and hand them over to the beneficiaries after distributing the house site pattas in the R-5 zone in the Amaravati capital region. The officials stated that 5024 TIDCO houses were ready while works related to leveling of land in the R-5 zone has been completed and they were ready to distribute house site pattas. Construction of 5.01 lakh houses would be completed in the next 45 days while 8.64 lakh houses are in various stages of post-basement level, they said.
