DMK protests held in Krishnagiri
The HinduDMK cadres staged a protest demonstration condemning the walkout by Governor R.N. The protests led by the party cadres here near Anna statue slammed Governor Ravi for walking out on the State Assembly without delivering the Governor’s address. The protests were called by the party after the walkout by the governor for the second consecutive year without delivering the Governor’s address. The DMK’s protests foregrounded State rights, attack on federalism and the Unitary tendencies of the Union government with the Governor as its agent. However, the protest foregrounding the party’s unity was also marred by intra-party disputes high drama on the stage with former district secretary and ex-MLA T.Senguttuvan entering into an altercation with the party’s executive committee members, who objected to Senguttuvan taking over the microphone.
