Android Marshmallow on more than 10 percent devices within 8 months

Going by the latest numbers revealing adoption of Android’s Marshmallow, it is now installed on more than 10 percent of the overall devices. While we finally have Marshmallow adoption in double digits, it should be noted that the latest iteration was on mere 1 percent devices even after four months of its launch. A quick look at the charts below shows that Marshmallow share was only 4.6 percent till April, which jumped to 7.5 percent in May and finally has reached 10.1 percent in June. Froyo and Gingerbread still run on 1 percent and 2 percent devices respectively.
