Puja Khedkar got disability certificate despite no nod from physiotherapist

Several discrepancies have emerged in the locomotor disability certificate issued by a civic hospital near Pune to controversial IAS probationary officer Puja Khedkar, documents accessed exclusively by India Today show. Khedkar, who is facing scrutiny over allegations of manipulating disability and OBC certificates to gain entry into the civil services, was issued a 7% locomotor disability certificate by Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital in August 2022. The documents show that despite the physiotherapy department at YCM reporting no disability, the hospital administration issued Khedkar a certificate indicating a 7% locomotor disability in her left knee. The next day, Khedkar got a locomotor disability certificate that said she had 7% instability in her left knee due to an anterior cruciate ligament tear from a minor accident in 2018.
