CBSE Class 10 Social Science paper: Moderately difficult, well-structured paper

The CBSE board exams are underway for both Classes 10 and 12. A closer analysis of the paper’s structure shows a range of difficulty levels: Section Difficulty Level Section A: MCQs Moderate Section B: Very Short Answer Easy Section C: Short Answer Easy Section D: Long Answer Moderate Section E: Case-Based Easy Section F: Map Work Simple The question paper closely adhered to the NCERT syllabus. "While objective questions were fair, some required precise conceptual understanding due to closely framed MCQ options," she said. "The map-based section focused on a few specific chapters, and the case-based questions aligned well with the CBSE sample paper for 2024-25," she added. Chinka Kapoor, TGT Social Studies at Silverline Prestige School, Ghaziabad, observed that while the structure was fair, "some questions were quite tricky, requiring careful interpretation and critical thinking."
