Deccan ChronicleHyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao will assess the performance of MLAs and ministers in the 21-day decennial Telangana state formation celebrations, which will end on June 22, to decide the candidates for the upcoming state Assembly polls, according to BRS sources. The move comes after Rao, prior to the start of the celebrations, directed ministers and MLAs to actively take part in the celebrations, reach out to voters in their respective constituencies and explain to them the achievements of the BRS government in the past nine years. According to the list circulated in BRS circles, the poor performers were identified as Durgam Chinnaiah, N. Diwakar Rao, Atram Sakku, Jajala Surender, Gampa Govardhan, Rasamayi Balakishan, Chennamaneni Ramesh, K. Manik Rao, Methuku Anand, Nomula Bhagat, Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy, Chirumarthi Lingaiah, Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy, T. Rajaiah, Nannapuneni Narender, Vanama Venkateshwar Rao, K. Upender Reddy, V. Abhraham, Beeram Harshavardhan Reddy, Muta Gopal, Bethi Subhash Reddy, Patnam Narender Reddy and Sunke Ravi Shankar, among others. However, the BRS top brass noticed that a few MLAs and ministers did not take the celebrations seriously and despite taking part in events, it was only eyewash as only a few days were celebrated, instead of holding programmes every day for the 21-day period.
