Jamal Edwards: British music entrepreneur and YouTube star dies of 'sudden illness' aged 31

The British entrepreneur Jamal Edwards, who helped launch a string of music careers, has died from a "sudden illness" at the age of 31, his manager has confirmed. "It is with the deepest heartache that I confirm that my beautiful son Jamal Edwards passed away yesterday morning after a sudden illness," she said in a statement. Edwards gained fame from setting up the new music platform SBTV and helping to launch the careers of the rapper Dave and Jessie J, among others. The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall's Clarence House Twitter account shared a tribute to SBTV founder Jamal Edwards.
