Delhi to have its own Board of School Education: CM Arvind Kejriwal
India TodayDelhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has stated that the national capital will have its own board for schools in the area, which will be called the Delhi Board of School Education. While talking about the education board with the reporters after the cabinet meeting, CM Arvind Kejriwal said, “In today’s cabinet meet, we have given approval to the constitution of a Delhi Board of School Education.” He further said, “The government schools in Delhi always used to have an inferior sentiment when it came to academics, which changed when we started spending 25 percent of the budget on the advancement of education in the national capital." He said, “Our children started getting admissions in big medical and engineering colleges and parents finally have the confidence that the future of the students will be secure in a Delhi government school.” Goals of Delhi Board of School Education As per the statement issued by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the establishment of the Delhi Board of School Education will have three major goals in all the government schools in the national capital. CM Kejriwal said that hopefully in a matter of 4 to 5 years, all schools in Delhi will fall under the Delhi Board of School Education.
