Coldplay breaks world record for highest tour attendance, surpassing Taylor Swift
British band Coldplay has set a new record for the highest attendance in music tour history. With eight months of touring still ahead, the band’s Music of the Spheres World Tour drew a larger audience than Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour. Going by the stats by Guinness World Records, on the weekend of January 25–26, the British band delivered the largest stadium show in Ahmedabad, Gujarat with over 223,000 fans attending across two nights. “Congratulations to @coldplay —their Music of the Spheres tour has set the record for the highest attended music tour in history.” Take a look at the post here: On January 26, Coldplay recorded 1.34 lakh attendees, its biggest ever, during a concert in Ahmedabad. Meanwhile, Coldplay's biggest concert before its Ahmedabad gig was in Sydney, Australia, where the band recorded an attendance of 83,000 people, in November last year, as part of their ongoing world tour.
