Nasa reveals orbit of asteroid that could collide with Earth in 2032
Days after it was confirmed that asteroid 2024 YR4 has a 1-in-83 chance of colliding with Earth, American space agency, Nasa has charted the course of its orbit and the object's trajectory in space. Nasa's Center of Near Earth Object Studies is tracking the asteroid and has already prepared its projected orbit that brings it in extreme proximity to Earth. Based on current projections, the asteroid is projected to come within 1,06,200 kilometres of the planet. However, researchers are observing its movement to further enhance their data, which could lead to better projection and improved close approach distance.
