Amsterdam to host massive circle party on the A10 ring road

Dutch News

The city of Amsterdam will host the biggest ever Dutch circle party to celebrate its 750th anniversary – on the A10 ring road. The celebrations take place in 2025 and officials have decided that on June 21, the A10 motorway will be partly closed to traffic to allow all sorts of events to take place. “A capital city is only 750 once, so we are planning a massive celebration at a fantastic location,” said mayor Femke Halsema. “Everyone is welcome to celebrate Amsterdam’s 750th birthday party.” The celebrations will kick off on October 27, 2024 with a concert at the Ziggo Dome and continue until October 27, 2025 – when the city received its charter 750 years ago.
