Polls close in Upper Hunter by-election after voter push from Coalition heavyweights

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has acknowledged a win in today’s Upper Hunter by-election "would be breaking the course of history". "It's going to be a really tight race and I think that's been what we've all thought the whole way," Ms Gilroy said. "This is crazy — we got post drops, we got social media, we got it in the newspapers and now it's plastered all over the town," she said.
