Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ tipped for May launch, flagship phones likely to debut in June

For these improvements, the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ will be based on TSMC's 4nm process, considered to have fewer chances of overheating than Samsung's 4nm platform. In an OnSiteGo report that follows, Brar mentions that flagship phones based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ may be unveiled as soon as June this year. As per the report, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ has a model number of SM8475 and will be the first Qualcomm chip based on TSMC’s 4nm node. It will come as Qualcomm's response to MediaTek's recent Dimensity 9000 series chipsets, which are cheaper but equally at par with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processors in terms of performance.
