Bobby Miller might be the next success story for a Dodgers organization that gets the most out of pitching prospects

Ten innings aren’t much, a total small enough to be vulnerable to all sorts of trickery of random chance. “I’m definitely my own worst enemy,” Miller said in late November as he headed to the bus following the Glendale Desert Dogs’ final regular-season game of the fall. “It’s a constant wow factor with what our scouting department does on draft day,” said Don Alexander, one of the organization’s pitching coordinators who has worked with Miller. “He is one of the most tireless, relentless workers that I’ve ever had the pleasure of being around,” said Rob Hill, another Dodgers pitching coordinator who has worked with Miller. “With Bobby,” Hill said, “the sky’s the limit.” It’s possible that the estimated date of Miller’s big-league arrival would be more distant if the Los Angeles rotation were full.
