
Tamil Nadu’s strong manufacturing ecosystem and student innovation highlighted at Co-Innovation Centre launch
The Hindu: Strength in manufacturing, application of deep technologies, and the willingness of students to work towards progress and development made Tamil Nadu a unique place for innovation, said Ashutosh Dutt Sharma, Chief Executive Officer of I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology, Mr. Sharma said the State had a very strong ecosystem in manufacturing and hardware that made it ideal from the perspective of the field of robotics. “There is huge potential in Tamil Nadu students, and general willingness to work in this direction,” he added. Such Co Innovation Centres — 10 of them across India, including the one launched at BSACIST-CIIC — have been established under the Government of India’s National Mission on Inter-Disciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems.
