Northern destinations join hands to promote winter tourism

"We will combine winter resources, rural tourism and sports events this year," Miyun's publicity department head Ge Junkai said. Pinggu district in the northeast of the capital has prepared organic vegetable picking, peace flower and chrysanthemum blossom sightseeing and local fairs to show visitors local life, in addition to ski and other winter sports. Tianjin has prepared various winter carnivals and ski competitions this year, while Hebei's Chengde city has developed 18 winter tourism routes integrating royal family history, hot springs, folk customs and shopping to spice up traveler experiences.
