Kartarpur corridor inauguration: Sri Sri Ravi Shankar unlikely to accept Pakistan's invitation
India TodaySpiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is unlikely to accept Pakistan's invitation to attend the inaugural ceremony of the Kartarpur corridor on Saturday as he's busy with prior engagements. An invitation letter sent to Ravi Shankar said the opening of the Kartarpur corridor and the promotion of religious tourism "coincides with your objective of Violence-Free World". The 3-km corridor will allow Sikh pilgrims direct access to the Gurudwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur, now in Pakistan, where Guru Nanak Dev passed away in 1539. A 550-member Indian delegation that includes former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and Union Ministers Hardeep Singh Puri and Harsimrat Kaur Badal will visit the Gurudwara Darbar Sahib using the Kartarpur corridor on Saturday.
