LSG vs RCB: KL Rahul fined 20 per cent match fee, Marcus Stoinis reprimanded for breach of conduct
India TodayLucknow Super Giants skipper, KL Rahul, was fined 20 percent of his match fees for breaching the Indian Premier League Code of Conduct during the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Tuesday, April 19 at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai. Apart from the Bangalore-born Rahul, retained all-rounder Marcus Stoinis was reprimanded following the Super Giants’ 18-run defeat to Faf du Plessis and Co. As per an IPL release, both Rahul and Stoinis were charged with Level 1 offences and they admitted to the breach. Tough night for Rahul and LSG The Super Giants started IPL 2022 on a brilliant note, but losses in two of their last three matches have pushed them back a wee bit. The Super Giants had a realistic chance to overhaul the Challengers’ score, but they fell apart after Stoinis got out in the penultimate over of the run-chase.
