Frances doesn’t like Patch – she describes him as “the kind of guy who buys a black leather sofa and is like ‘I love it’” – but what she likes even less is how his existence means she gets less time with Sophie. “Do not treat me like a three-hour-brunch friend,” Frances yells after Sophie explains that she’s leaving to hang out with Patch.
