Smart India Hackathon grand finale begins Dec 11, PM Modi to interact with students
India TodayThe Ministry of Education is all set to launch the 7th edition of the Smart India Hackathon on December 11, 2024. This year’s hackathon finale, the seventh edition, will take place across 51 centres, with over 1,300 student teams from across India competing to solve real-world problems. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will engage with young innovators during the grand finale of Smart India Hackathon 2024 via videoconferencing on Wednesday at 4:30 pm, according to his office. EVENT STRUCTURE AND THEMES The Smart India Hackathon Grand Finale’s Software Edition is scheduled for December 11-12, while the Hardware Edition runs from December 11-15. Participants can choose from 17 major themes: Smart Automation Fitness & Sports Heritage & Culture MedTech/BioTech/HealthTech Agriculture, FoodTech & Rural Development Smart Vehicles Transportation & Logistics Robotics and Drones Clean & Green Technology Tourism Renewable/Sustainable Energy Blockchain & Cybersecurity Smart Education Disaster Management Toys and Games Miscellaneous Space Technology This year's problem statements include ISRO's 'Enhancing Images of Darker Regions on the Moon,' the Jal Shakti Ministry's 'Real-time Ganga Water Quality Monitoring System,' and the AYUSH Ministry's 'Smart Yoga Mat Integrated with AI.'
