Potential-linked credit plan released for Dharmapuri
The Potential-Linked Credit Plan for Dharmapuri envisions a total credit projection of ₹17,457.49 crore for 2025-26. Releasing the document, the Collector advised the banks to make targeted allocations towards medium and long-term credit in agriculture, as there is good potential to promote farm mechanisation, micro irrigation systems and animal husbandry sector in the district. Highlighting the sector-wise credit plan, S. Sheba Sangeetha, AGM, NABARD, said that the PLP projection is around 10.1% more than the Annual Credit Plan target for financial yYear 2024-25, which can be attributed to the national priorities of the Government of India, to scale up lending to the various sectors of the economy. Speaking on the occasion, S Ramajayam, Lead District Manager, said that PLP forms the basis for finalisation of the Annual Credit Plan of the district.
