Congress leaders try to lay siege to CM Bommai\'s residence
Deccan ChronicleBENGALURU: Congress leaders on Saturday tried to lay siege to the residence of Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Race Course road in Bengaluru city demanding his resignation on moral grounds over the Lokayukta trapping of Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Veerupakshappa Madal’s son Prashanth Madal, Chief Accountant of Bangalore Water Supplies and Sewage Board on Thursday. Meanwhile, Congress leaders took to poster campaign in Bengaluru city against Veerupakshappa Madal over the Lokayukta trapping. Demanding immediate arrest of Veerupakshappa and resignation of Chief Minister, the Congress protest which was led by former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, leaders Randeep Singh Surjewala, Ramalinga Reddy, Priyank Kharge and others. Police took the leaders into custody when they tried to lay siege to the CM’s residence on Race Course road in Bengaluru city.
