Robert Vadra to Delhi government on air crisis: Time for imaginative solutions
India TodayCongress leader Priyanka Gandhi’s husband, Robert Vadra, on Monday took a dig at the Delhi government over its air pollution crisis and said “it is time we deploy these imaginative solutions”, referring to the Delhi government’s plan to use helicopters to seed rain clouds. In the post, Robert Vadra also expressed his concerns over the political blame game between the BJP and AAP regarding the alarming air pollution levels in Delhi, calling it "appalling" that the safety and well-being of the city’s citizens were being treated as mere political fodder. In his post, the entrepreneur cited the example of energy efficiency standards for appliances that led to reduced electricity consumption, suggesting similar measures could be applied to reduce pollution. This in turn led to a drastic cut in electricity consumption.” Delhi's air quality, which reached the "severe-plus" category on Sunday evening, further deteriorated on Monday, dropping to 495 on the air quality index by 1 pm.
