Sub-Registrar Held Third Time for Accepting Bribe

Suryapet: The Anti-Corruption Bureau on Monday arrested Suryapet sub-registrar Banothu Surender Naik for accepting a bribe of ₹99,200 through two document writers who acted as intermediaries. According to an ACB statement, Naik demanded the bribe through document writers Kalluri Srinivas and Thagella Venkat Reddy from M. Venkateshwarlu. After the cash was handed over, ACB officials tested the hands of the document writers, which turned positive for chemicals applied to the currency notes as part of the trap. Naik, along with Srinivas and Venkat Reddy, was arrested and produced before the first additional special judge for SPE and ACB cases court in Hyderabad.
